Quantock Beekeepers Association

Quantock Beekeepers located to their new premises at Charlynch, a purpose built permanent site, in 2013 and since then have received two grants from BAS.

They do a great deal of work to encourage and train new beekeepers and in the area of research and have appeared four times on the BBC.

They carry out a very full programme of training, research and breeding work.  Our two grants totalling £5250 have gone towards the purchase of specialist microscopes, a video unit, basic laboratory instruments, mating hives with feeders, special grafting tools and honey extraction equipment.

The Society recognises the importance of bees within the rural environment and is very keen to support and promote the work of the Quantock Beekeepers Association.
